The Battersea Ball is a large charity fundraising event, that takes place at the end of November every year. It’s a black tie affair with a three course dinner, and fantastic entertainment. For many people, it marks the start of the festive season in Wandsworth. This post tells you everything you need to know about the Battersea Ball, including how to get tickets.
What is the Battersea Ball?
The famous Battersea Ball started in 1992, to raise money for Alarms for the Elderly. It was originally held in Battersea Town Hall (which is now Battersea Arts Centre), but it became so popular that a bigger venue needed to be found.
The event is now held every year in Battersea Park, and raises money for the Battersea Crime Prevention Panel. It has become the biggest charity party in Wandsworth, and attracts over 800 people from the local community every year.
As well as a three course meal, there is amazing entertainment, and raffle prizes to be won. Throughout the night there are performances on stage, dancing, and the chance to buy auction items. There is also a separate room with dodgems, and fun photo booths. Below are the menus from the last two years.
Tickets
Early bird tickets go on sale in June, and you can book tables of between 8 to 12 people.
How to Get to Evolution London
The Battersea Ball is held in Evolution London, on Queenstown Road in Battersea Park. The closest underground stations are either Battersea Power Station or Sloane Square, however I recommend getting a taxi, as taxis are able to drop you directly outside.
